J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub 'Westworld' adaptation ordered by HBO Aug 31st 2013, 01:22 By Tim Kenneally LOS ANGELES (TheWrap.com) - HBO is taking a run at the classic sci-fi film "Westworld." The premium cable network has given a pilot production commitment to a series adaptation of the 1973 film. The one-hour drama is being executive produced by J.J. Abrams, Jerry Weintraub and Bryan Burk. Jonathan Nolan ("Person of Interest") is writing and directing as well as executive producing, with Lisa Joy ("Burn Notice") also writing and executive producing.
