July 29 (The Sports Xchange) - The Houston Texans signed linebacker Joe Mays to a one-year deal, according to the Houston Chronicle. Mays is now team mates with quarterback Matt Schaub, whom he injured last season while playing for the Denver Broncos. Mays' hit on Schaub caused the quarterback to lose a small chunk of one of his ears. Mays was suspended one game and fined $50,000 for the blindside helmet-to-helmet hit. He later apologized to Schaub and said it was not intentional. "We're way past that," Schaub said on Monday. ...
